We established Home Healthcare after working for many years in the NHS as a result of trying to find a caring, competent and reliable local care service for our own family, and being disappointed in the quality of the existing services that were available in Kent and south London.
This first-hand experience of navigating the often-confusing maze of care provision and making the right choice provided us with a unique insight into the challenge of finding the right team. It also brought home to us what is important to people looking for home care services – kindness, compassion, expertise, knowledge and a passion for working with people.
Our background in hands-on community nursing and NHS management meant that we were perfectly positioned to take up the challenge of designing a reliable, experienced and comprehensive home care and support service ourselves to fill the void.
Since our early days we’ve gone from strength to strength, and over the years have built up a sterling reputation as the most reliable and trustworthy home care service in Kent and south London.
We are a local family business, with a high level of personal involvement in what we do, a great sense of pride in the quality of the care that we provide – and in our community. We are independent and local – we’re not part of a national chain or franchise, which is something that both our staff and our clients appreciate.
Consistency and reliability are as important to us as they are to you. We carefully choose and vet our staff to ensure that they have the right skills and personalities to perform their roles, and that they are reliable and committed to their work.
Unlike many larger organisations, we don’t have a high turnover of staff. When a new member joins our team, they tend to stay with us for the long term, and some of our clients have been working with the same carer or nurse for years.
This allows us to provide you with a familiar friendly face who gets to know you well, and is able to work to your specifications. On the rare occasions when your regular carer is unavailable – perhaps due to holidays or ill health – we take care to ensure that you continue to receive a seamless service with an equivalent carer who is the right fit for you.
We’ll never let you down at the last minute, and we will always keep the lines of communication between you, your carer and ourselves open so that you can discuss any concerns.
We don’t tell you what you need – we ask you, and work with you to develop a bespoke tailored care package to fit. Our role begins by speaking to you person to person, taking into account your personal preferences and needs so that we can begin to build a complete picture of your requirements. We can develop care packages for you, your partner and they can include essentials like feeding the cat.
Whether you know exactly what you are looking for or need help in determining your exact requirements, we can help.
Our service is inspected annually by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). This organisation is set up by the Government to inspect hospitals, care home and domiciliary care services like ours. The inspectors check a range of areas and publish a report that any one can receive on their website www.cqc.org.uk
We offer a comprehensive range of care and support services for people living in areas such as Bromley, Croydon, Crystal Palace, Penge, Shortlands and Norwood.
This includes full-time live in care, regular drop-in support, and short-term care including respite services.
We also offer a service that no other care agency in Kent or south London specialises in: companionship and social support for people who may be feeling isolated or in need of a friend.
Whatever your requirements, just let us know and we’ll talk you through your options.
Home Healthcare can also help you to find out more about the type of support that might be available to you to help with the cost of paying for your care – check out this useful information to get you started.
We can advise on different options for paying for your care, and we accept all of the standard payment methods you might expect, as well as PayPal payment if this is easier for you.
You can manage your account with us over the phone or via email, allowing you to keep track of your invoices and the services that you have received easily, in the way that suits you best.
