Annie trained as a nurse at St Thomas’ Hospital in London. She initially worked on the wards under a few fairly strict Matrons. She soon found a love for Community Nursing and relished the chance to work with people in their own home, surrounded by the things and people they knew and loved. Community Nursing is often done alone and Annie undertook a range of courses and qualifications to ensure she offered her patients evidence-based best practice at every visit. She held additional training in Dermatology, Wound Care, End of Life Care, Occupational Therapy Assessment and was one of the first waves of Nurse Prescribers. All of this experience was fundamental in her vision for a service that offered responsive expertise.

She later moving into nursing management and then into working with Sheltered Housing and Residential Care where she managed the South East of England for a housing association. She found time to do a Management Diploma and was involved in the running of Borough-Wide community services before an unexpected accident changed everything. You can read more in the Our Story section. She worked closely with Anne-Marie ensuring a seamless transition when Anne-Marie took over the business a few years ago.
